Gabe Bouslov

Applied AI Project Leader, AI researcher, & fractional Chief AI Officer | Ex-BCG

Agentic AI has been my full-time work for the past two years, most recently at BCG leading a team of five applied AI engineers, and before that researching AI competitiveness and autonomous firms at the BCG Institute and think tank.

I'm cautiously optimistic about AI's potential: how much of a company agents can run, what competitive advantage looks like in 5 years, and how firms can accelerate their transformations and stay ahead.

Always open to a chat, whether you're building something, looking to brainstorm or collaborate, or want to see whether I can help you or your team!

About

At BCG I was Applied AI Project Leader in the Corporate Finance and Strategy practice, overseeing multiple concurrent agentic platform and tool builds. As the first promoted lead on the Applied AI team, I helped grow it from ~ten people to over a hundred, running dozens of interviews and co-designing our talent pipeline.

Upskilling was a large part of the job and it is some of the work I enjoy most. I designed and led GenAI training for senior leaders in both large-group sessions (50+ colleagues) and one-on-one coaching and was one of twenty people across BCG asked to help run these sessions at the annual partner conference.

As an ambassador at the BCG Institute's Strategy lab, I worked as a researcher and AI data engineer. My published work there covers the corporate strategy function in an AI-first world, the rise of autonomous AI-only firms, and empirical studies on corporate transformations.

On my own time I test that research at small scale, building and growing SaaS products and physical brands and pushing how much of the operating work agents can own, from customer acquisition and support through analytics and daily operations. Before consulting I ran a health and beauty brand at $15K a month in revenue.

When I'm not working, you can find me playing Chess, studying languages, cycling and playing sports with friends, or scheduling my next international trip!
